Cell Reach™ from CommScope
Innovation Wireless and CommScope, the world’s leading manufacturer
of high speed, high performance broadband coaxial and fiber optic cables,
have joined forces to offer the wireless telecommunications industry the most
advanced and innovative 50 ohm coaxial cable.
CommScope Wireless meets the stringent requirements of the wireless industry
by offering a superior alternative to traditional corrugated transmission
line cable. Cell Reach™ and Extremeflex™ line
of cables, connectors, hardware and tools are designed specifically for wireless
transmission line systems and becoming the new industry standard. This smooth-wall
50-ohm coaxial cable is designed to provide superior performance, reliability
and ease of connectorization for both in-building and outdoor applications.
Simple, fast installation and unmatched reliability provide the lowest life
cycle cost available. In addition, because the smooth wall design offers exceptional
electrical performance, a smaller diameter transmission line may often be
used on CommScope sites. Also, a lighter weight cable reduces tower loading
and product cost compared to similar corrugated products.
The conformability of these smooth wall cables is ideal for monopole, self-supporting
tower, conduit, rooftop and indoor applications. The superior shielding and
connector design also minimize intermodulation associated with high RF environments.
The smooth wall solid outer conductor, high-strenght closed micro-cell foam
dielectric core, and fully bonded construction results in a composite cable,
which supports the electrical, mechanical and environmental performance requirements
of wireless systems.
Cell
Reach™ and Extremeflex™ cables are available
in ½”, 7/8”, 1-1/4” and 1-5/8” diameter cables.
Innovation Wireless and Commscope offers to our customers and their contractors
free training curses. The class covers Cell Reach™
and Extremeflex™ cables, connectorization, handling and other topics.
